2-1-1 Tulare County Resource Database
Database Inclusion Form

This policy determines which organizations, agencies and/or programs may and may not be included in the 2-1-1 Tulare County database.

Eligible for Inclusion:

Organizations in existence for at least one year, that provide health, social, consumer, educational or environmental services, may be included in the resource database. The following are examples of such organizations:

Nonprofit
  • Private, nonprofit 501(c) (3) organizations offering free or low cost services to the community at large.
Government
  • Local, state and federal government agencies.
Community/Support Groups
  • Support groups that either charge a nominal fee or no fee at all.
  • Advocacy groups.
  • Support groups with a stable history and/or an affiliation with a nonprofit organization
  • Social clubs offering a service to the community at large.
Faith-Based Organizations
  • Organizations providing services that are contracted by a Health and Human Services agency.
  • Faith-based organizations that do not deny services based on religion.
  • Organizations providing a public service to the community at large
For-Profit
  • For-profits providing affordable health or social service(s) not adequately met by other listings; or that offer free service, scholarships, reduced fees, sliding scale fees; or that accept Medi-Cal.
Government or Nonprofit
  • Local, state and/or national toll-free numbers that provide socially beneficial service(s), are administered by government or nonprofit agencies, and can be accessed by Tulare County residents.
  • 1-800 help lines, information lines, or crisis lines administered by a nonprofit or government organization.
Ineligible for Inclusion:
  • Organizations that deny services based on race, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or national origin.
  • Organizations that violate local, state or federal laws and/or regulations.
  • Organizations that do not supply proper documentation; for example: proof of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, an IRS/Department of Treasury letterhead, etc.
  • Organizations that have been in existence for less than one year.
  • Organizations that do not have an established address, phone and consistently available contact person.
  • Organizations that serve only members and/or a very narrow population.
  • Organizations that do not respond to requests for updated information.
  • Elected community officials.
  • Private practitioners, group practices of mental health providers, medical doctors, osteopaths, podiatrists, dentists, legal/paralegal providers, etc.
  • Support groups offered by private therapists or social workers that require a fee to participate.
  • Support groups offered by private therapists or social workers that require a fee to participate.
